St Mary`s Island & lighthouse

St Mary`s lighthouse stands on a small rocky tidal island is linked to the mainland by a short concrete causeway which is submerged at high tide. The lighthouse was built in 1898 & was decommissioned in 1984, 2 years after becoming automatic.
